Una estancia inolvidable. El trato y comunicación con todo el equipo, muy amables y serviciales. El espacio muy acogedor, te sientes como en casa. Tanto la cocina como la terraza espectacular. Estar tan cerca de todo, poder volver a descansar cuando nos apetecía e incluso salir de noche y vivir Venecia tranquila, ha sido lo mejor!
Aunque lo sabíamos ya que avisan, tienes que estar preparado para subir escaleras ;)!

The apartment was clean and well kept. The views ARE amazing! We loved sitting out on the rooftop decks, sipping wine and watching the sunrise and sunset. It was fun listening to Venice wake up and party into the night. The stairs kept us in shape. I would say that if you are not in shape the walk up to the apartment can be brutal. I think we counted 95 or so steep steps up. Luckily once we got used to them, they were not a problem for us.Barbara was easy to communicate with and a pleasure to deal with. Although I am not savvy with apps and such, she made it very easy. Highly recommend. Once you get past the stairs....the view is AWESOME! Plus it is so conveniently located to everything! So easy to navigate to most anywhere in Venice. And if you ever have any questions or need suggestions Venice 5th is there for you. Absolutely loved our stay and would stay again.

This house is an absolute gem! It’s super spacious, full of light, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen feels so warm and cozy. But the real highlight is the terrace, what a view! This Venetian apartment is so well-located. It's ideal for someone who will enjoy having breakfast on the gorgeous top floor with views of beautiful Venice. There is also a lovely, spacious living space that is perfect for relaxing after a long day of walking this one-of-a-kind city.The host is extremely communicative. It has an incredible kitchen and roof and is in the Castello district, which is super walkable to everything but nicer, in my opinoon, than being right on top of San Marco since it's a bit more peaceful and quiet!Just a note (and this is shared somewhere in the description): Venice apartments often have many flights of steep stairs. This is one of those. If you have mobility issues, this is not the right place for you. A really lovely place.

This is a magical place to stay. Hidden down a tiny, dark alleyway, you emerge onto a rooftop with panoramic views of Venice. For cooks who like to buy their fresh produce at the nearby Rialto market, the kitchen is generously outfitted with everything you could need and is like a sailboat in the sky. You couldn't beat this location, the view from the rooftop was spectacular. The apartment is HUGE. So much space for our family of 5. Enough that if we needed some solo time we were able too. Close to the main tourist attractions, yet far enough to feel tucked away. The apartment itself was just gorgeous, beautifully styled and had everything you may possibly need. Wished we could have stayed longer!
Its not something we didn't like, just something you should know (we did prior to booking so came prepared) the apartment is up on the 5th floor, so there are some steep staircases to climb with luggage and children in tow. We were able to climb them easily, with our suitcases and three kids, so it is manageable.

Barbara couldn’t be more helpful throughout the entire stay, before and after. Lots of clear communication and was even kind enough to ship my son’s iPad that he forgot. The YouTube video was especially helpful with finding the meeting spot. The apartment had so much character just like the photos and was in the perfect spot to explore Venice (which we all loved). We highly recommend the restaurant immediately downstairs with the beautiful garden courtyard. Their back door is right next to your front door. The view from the top veranda was also stunning. Great host and a great stay in a great city.

Apartament jest bardzo ładnie umeblowany. Jest to fantastyczne miejsce na dłuższy pobyt. Taras na dachu robi robotę. Kuchnia świetnie wyposażona, mieliśmy w niej wszystko co było potrzebne do naszego pobytu. Bardzo dużo szafek i miejsca do przechowywania. Aby dostać się do apartamentu trzeba pokonać bardzo dużo wąskich schodów, co dla nas nie było problemem, ale dla osób starszych pewnie może być. Niestety znalazły się też minusy, które były dla mnie bardzo istotne. W łazience współdzielonej, w wannie została zdemontowana słuchawka prysznicowa, jedyny możliwy prysznic to deszczownia, nie lubię moczyć włosów i był to dla nas problem. Korek w wannie również był zdemontowany, więc kąpiel w wannie odpada. Zrobiliśmy trasę 300 km na motorze i porządna kąpiel była dla nas priorytetem, a na mnie trafiła akurat ta łazienka, druga jest połączona z sypialnią. Minusem są również kosmetyki, coś co miało być mydłem chyba nim nie było. Warto podpisać opakowania.

Overall, A+ listing. Our favorite was the terrace which was spectacular! Several evenings were spent on the Venice rooftops soaking in the view. The location was as listed. Very close to the San Marco Square and Rialto Bridge. This made it very easy to get around in the city. It was close to everything. The only negative was the stairs. Four flights to get to the apartment. Three more to get to the rooftop. It’s no one’s fault…just the reality. Check in was easy with a representative meeting us promptly and showing us about the place. Minimal cleaning requirements. Functional air conditioning. Great beds. The one issue I had was resolved quickly. If you have large or heavy bags, this probably isn’t your place. If you have mobility or joint issues, this probably isn’t your place. If you want to spend your evenings watching the sun set over Venice, this is your place. If you want a close location with plenty of space, this is your place. Great listing!

Great location between Rialto bridge and St. Mark’s Square. COOP grocery store on the street below. Yummy Suso gelato nearby. Fantastic views from the rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Great place to come back for a siesta after a walk in the intense heat of Venice. The AC was heavenly. Complimentary bottle of chilled sparkling wine was very much appreciated. We highly recommend staying here, and we would definitely do so again.

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful place in Venice with 360 views of the cityLocation: It is in a great location that is less than ten min from San Marco Basilica, pizzerias, and cafes (Farini is great). Easy to find nearby gondola rides. Views: The rooftop terrace has 360 views of the city, so you can see sunrise and sunset over the rooftops. Stunning! It is worth the trade-off of 101 stairs. (Be aware that the hallway from the street is 61 stairs to the front door, and another 40 to the top of the roof terrace - so be ready if you have heavy luggage). Host: Barbara (and check-in helpers) were very responsive and helpful for our entire stay. They met us at the water taxi drop off near the church of Santa Maria Formosa, and it was an easy 5 min walk to the apartment. Comforts: the beds were comfortable and showers adequate. Furniture was nice and the kitchen is well stocked with plates, glasses, nespresso, and wine. We would stay her again.

What a lovely place to stay! It was perfect for our family and the views are fantastic! After long days of walking about site seeing, it was so much fun to all sit on the terrace or in the kitchen looking at the views and spending quality family time together. We would have loved to extend our stay. The sleeping arrangements were perfect the kitchen was well equipped, we had everything we needed. We spent a little over two weeks exploring Italy and this was by far our favorite place that we stayed. Felt like a warm lived in family home. We have rented several Airbnbs while touring Italy. This is by far the best one we stayed at. It is extremely clean and equipped with everything you need. The temperatures were high in Venice but the home’s air conditioning worked perfect! Barbara went above and beyond in communication. We were greeted by Arrigo to bring us to the apartment. He was so warm, welcoming and helpful! This is hands-down a very special place with excellent service. The roof deck and sunsets were spectacular. Do not miss!! This is a great place to stay with your family. We were taken back by the location of the apartment, as you climb the stairs it is as though you are entering back into Venice’s luxurious… dreamy past and that is all before you get to the terraces. WOW - what an AMAZING experience at Venice5th!! You don't come across Airbnb's like this very often - if it's available, snap it up!! The home itself is absolutely beautiful, impeccably furnished, and wonderfully comfortable (including the beds). The view from the outside terrace is stunning - it was hard to leave to go and do our sightseeing. If fact, I wished we had booked extra days in Venice where I could have just stayed to RELAX and ENJOY this beautiful home and amazing views! Yes, as other reviews have mentioned, there are several flights of stairs to access the apartment itself and the 3 floors inside the apartment. So keep that in mind - I don't think I would recommend someone with weight or health issues to book unless they planned to just mainly be at the house for the stay. If you are in and out a lot, you do have to be prepared for the hike up and down the stairs. BUT - if you can do it, it is absolutely WORTH IT for the commanding views you get from being on top of the building. And you cannot beat it for LOCATION - right next to St. Mark's Square and the main sights of the city. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. There is also a grocery store within 25 yards or so of the apartment which was great. Check-in was a breeze, and the host provided many "nice touches" like a bottle of wine and lots of Nespresso coffee pods :) In addition, they were so helpful for giving information on everything from airport transfers to where to get the Covid tests for our trip home. They really go the extra mile to make your stay the best one ever :) Don't hesitate to book Venice5th - I would return in a heartbeat!!

When looking for a short-term rental in Venice for four adults, we agreed that we wanted prime location, pristine accommodations and a view. Our expectations were exceeded with this unit! This gorgeous apartment is perfectly situated between the hustle of San Marco and the peace of Castello. Our host Barbara was always responsive, proactive and friendly. The description of the apartment was spot on. The view from every window is astoundingly but the rooftop deck view will take your breath away. We could have used e tea paper products but there is a Coop nearby along with restaurants for all preferences. The Trattoria di Gigi became our local spot after a long day of exploring. As long as you are able to climb the 70+ stairs to get to the apartment, I say book this right away!!

We spent three nights at Venice5th and it was amazing 🤩 such a beautiful apartment so comfy and a lovely haven from the business of Venice. Location is perfect too, you would never think St Marks Square was just a 10 miinute walk away. Stairs are well worth the view but might not be easy for very young or elderly. Lovely visit to Venice!
This property was perfect for the 3 generations of women in my family. It was so close to everything that we wanted to see with plenty of space to spread out and be comfortable. The rooftop terrace was an added bonus with an incredible 360 degree view. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
The stairs. But this is Venice. We are all in good shape so the actual climb wasn’t a problem. It was the climb with heavy luggage for 2 weeks. BUT Barbara had asked if we needed help with luggage, and I didn’t follow through. She kindly arranged for us to have help for a small fee on our departure. If you are traveling with luggage for a weekend you will be fine. And possibly fine if traveling with heavy luggage with some strong males. But if not, request the luggage help. It was worth every cent.

We stayed at this beautiful apartment for 4 nights. The apartment is close to everything - including a water bus stop at the Rialto bridge and San Marco square. The apartment is very spacious, clean, and comfortable for us and our 2 adult children. The best part was the amazing terrace! The views were incredible! While there are stairs to get there, it is well worth the climb. Barbara was very responsive and we were able to get an early check-in and late check-out. Our stay was wonderful!

This apartment was very cool. We had 6 adults and we had plenty of space. It was very well maintained and clean. It is very well made, updated nicely and had everything we needed. The view from the rooftop was great! Nice location, plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The pistachio gelato is a must! Our checkin was very easy with lots of insights and recommendations. As another reviewer said it before me, if this place is a available for your dates, stop reading and reserve it now. We built our entire vacation around the availability of Barbara’s place and it did not disappoint. Location cannot be beat but what really sets this place apart is that it is a real home. It had more than enough space for our family of four with everything that we would have at my own home; toaster, washer, freezer, salad spinner, etc. along with rental luxuries such as fabulous towels and an easy and professional checkin. Another aspect is the rooftop terrace with a 360 degree view of Venice. We spent every evening there and ate every possible meal at the rooftop table. When we return to Venice we will do it at a time when this place is available.

Great location! Comfortable beds! Gorgeous views! Barbara's place is a few minutes walk from the Rialto bridge and the heart of Venice. And a 10 minute-ish walk from St. Mark's Square. It is THE PERFECT place to stay in Venice. The roof top terrace is unbelievable. The kitchen is fully stocked and even has a freezer (for extra gelato) and a dishwasher. There was plenty of space for our family of four (2 teen girls) to have alone quiet time and also spend time together (in the living room to watch a sporting event and in the super sunny and bright kitchen to enjoy breakfast). The only thing to note, as is mentioned in Barbara's description, is there are A LOT of stairs and no elevator. I need knee replacements and my daughter was 6 months post-op for ACL repair so we had to take it slow and careful but we managed. Folks with more significant mobility issues might have to sadly, pass on this place. But for everyone else, I can't recommend it enough!

If you are reading this review, stop right now and book this place if it is available on your dates! This is one of the most unique homes we have ever stayed in. The apartment itself was what made our experience in Venice so wonderful. The photos don't do it justice. Above the hectic streets of Venice, this home is the perfect escape. While the terrace is unreal, the views from every room are magical. We especially enjoyed the cozy kitchen table, a perfect place to sip coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening and take in the views. The apartment is centrally located, so made going back midday for a break a breeze. Yes, there are many stairs, but they are worth every step to enjoy this one of kind home. In additional to the home itself, communication was great and Barbara allowed us to drop our bags early after an overnight flight from the US. Additionally, we used a transfer service to help us get from the airport to the apartment. The woman from the transfer agency complimented Barbara and her team for being so easy and professional to work with compared to many hosts in Venice. Overall a perfect stay! We highly recommend it.

Location is perfect and the rooftop is a genuine experience for the dolce vita in la Serenissima. Plenty supermarkets around and 2 min. away from the canal.
Everything was perfect... just be aware that there is no lift, so if you are carrying a lot of luggage, you will struggle a little.

The apartment was beautiful and cozy. We loved the rooftop terrace and kitchen area. The stairs are a bit steep to get to the unit but the place had good amenities and it’s a great central location for walking to anywhere in Venice. Be sure to ask the host the best way to get there from airplane or train beforehand because it can be a little tricky to figure out if it’s your first time in Venice. We had to wait a little for one of the host’s reps to meet us but we were told they had a lot of different check ins that day. It’s still a wonderful place to stay and we enjoyed our time there.

Fabulous stay, would definitely stay here again.
The location of this property is perfect. We arrived by plane and took a water taxi in to the recommended stop. It was beautiful experiencing the small canals. From the stop it was a short walk to the apartment. We only traveled with carryon luggage and it was easy to navigate the one bridge and sidewalks. Once settled we are able to easily get to St Marks Square and the Rialto Bridge. The neighborhood itself was very nice with some great restaurants right down stairs and a delicious gelato spot. There was also a market where we could have picked up items if we needed. Check in was easy. We were greeted by Francesco who showed us around the apartment. The apartment was clean and the beds comfortable. There was plenty of space for our family of 6. The kitchen was easy to use and had everything we needed to reheat some leftovers. Barbara was very responsive and easy to work with using WhatsApp. The view from the roof top balcony was so wonderful. The sunset was beautiful and I even saw a rainbow. It was nice to have some quiet outdoor space to enjoy.
Not an issue, but worth noting you do need to walk up stairs to get to the apartment.

Our party of six enjoyed our stay at this magnificent apartment. The location was perfect. It was close to amazing shopping and restaurants, as well as the sites, and away from the mass of people near the Grand Canal. The apartment worked well for us and was quiet and very comfortable. The 360 degree penthouse views are like nothing else I’ve witnessed. We enjoyed every minute of our time on the deck and this property definitely enhanced our stay. A 5 day trip for a family of 5 (mum, dad, 13 yo, 17 yo 23 yo). All great, as described, location great too, communication and instructions great. The Stairs were not an issue for us and the morning coffee with a view on that rooftop was worth it but if you have elderly or young with you its not ideal, but it would perhaps put more people at ease that are concerned about the stairs if there was a photo or video of the stairs to look at before hand. I read a review that said the stairs were narrow which made me feel anxious pre-trip but upon arriving I realized that they were not narrow after all. Other than that it was all perfect and there was some great restaurants and bars just below the apartment, very handy if don't want to venture far or for a pre-evening meal drink or morning coffee before heading out. I have sent links and recommended to friends and we would go back if went to Venice as a family again.....

We had such an amazing stay at this home! The view and the terrace cannot be beat! We spent so much time together outside enjoying the views of the city. For a family, it was so great to walk to the store and/or local cafe and get everything for breakfast and/or dinner on the patio. It was a dream come true! Wonderful apartment in central area off the canals. Barbara’s place was a 5-15 minute walk to everything. Although there are a ton of steep stairs to get into the apartment (this is not for people with mobility issues) the rooftop two-level deck off the kitchen has stunning views! The kitchen is small but sufficient for our trip with a cosy breakfast nook that will fit your whole family. Barbara’s welcome biscottis and Prosecco were a nice touch! The beds were comfortable and 2 bathrooms were clean. There’s a tiny third toilet off the kitchen in a utility closet that could be used if the other two bathrooms are occupied. Barbara was very communicative in the weeks leading up to our stay with very clear instructions on check-in. When asked for advice on transportation from the airport and restaurant recommendations Barbara responded with a very detailed list for us. Thank you for making our weekend stay in Venice the beginning of a wonderful two 1/2 week trip throughout Italy! I highly recommend taking a water taxi from the airport to a stop on the canal just a short walk from Barbara’s place. It will be one of the highlights of your trip!

Located in the heart of Venice, 5 mins walk to San Marco. We had the most amazing experience in the apartment, or shall call it a villa. No doubt the highest terrace of Venice, breathtaking view of sunset and sunrise. Neat and delighful interior with walls decorted with an interesting Venetian marmarino finish? The only small regret is that we couldn't find the switch to turn the lights on the terrace… but it was probably better that way! All in all, a wonderful experience.

L’appartement idéal pour un séjour à Venise. La communication et le Check in avec Barbara est très bien organisé ( pré Check in, accueil parfait). L’appartement est idéalement situé entre le pont de Rialto et la place St Marc. Il était dans un état de propreté impeccable, mais surtout c’est la qualité des décorations et ameublement dans le pure style vénitien qui nous a fait sentir l’espace d’un instant comme si nous vivions ici. Enfin la terrasse est extraordinaire A réserver les yeux fermés.

We were lucky enough to spend a few nights at Venice5th in April. The introduction to the propriety went seamlessly, with a lovely greeting by the housekeepers offering any assistance. The most important aspect of this apartment is its incredible rooftop views. We spent hours just reading, doing homework and enjoying a cocktail. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. In addition you get a cardio workout going to the apartment. The location couldn’t be better located between the Rialto bridge and St Marks square. Just fabulous - so happy to have stayed here.

Delightful and spacious penthouse apartment
This property is absolutely lovely! From the warm and helpful check-in to the spacious 3-floor penthouse apartment with a rooftop patio--staying here was the highlight of our 3-week European tour. The communication before we arrived was helpful and efficient. The person who met us at the meeting place to show us to the apartment was very hospitable and warm. The entracce floor has a bedroom that is perfect for young people, kids and teens. It easily fits 3 people. The main floor has two two large bedrooms, including a spacious main bedroom and shared bathroom. The sitting area is comfortable and decorated with local artwork, such as the famous glass. The top floor has a well-stocked kitchen with all appliances and the amenities (coffee maker, 2 refrigerators, stove, small appliances etc.). The rooftop patio has a great view of Venice and offers beautiful 360-views in both the morning and evening. We were completely satisfied!
