How to find Venice5th?

As finding us can be a bit of a challenge, especially if it is the first visit to Venice, we thought it would be a good idea to show you how to get to our meeting point.

If you're taking the water bus, we will meet just outside the Church of San Lio which is less than a five-minute walk from the water bus stop at the famous Rialto bridge. And if you're taking the water taxi, we'll meet you in front of the Church of Santa Maria Formosa as the water taxi will drop you off at this area which is the closest stop to the apartment. Please let us know whether you're taking the water bus or water taxi, so we'd know which meeting point to meet you.

The Church of San Lio may be found here https://bit.ly/ChurchofSanLio and we will be meeting you just outside between the church and the red flag pole that can be seen here https://bit.ly/venice5th-meeting-point

From the train station/airport/car park/bus station, you should not have any problem finding a waterbus or water taxi to get to the Rialto waterbus stop. We have put together a quick video to show you how to get from the Rialto waterbus stop to the red flag pole.

Water Taxi

Arriving in Venice in a private water taxi is a unique and special experience and one we would highly recommend.

To give you an idea, the water taxi charges (up to 4 people) €117 for service from Marco Polo Airport and €65.00 from Santa Lucia Railway Station going to Fondamenta Santa Maria Formosa, the closest stop to the apartment. Travel time should be around 30 minutes or less depending on the time of the day.

There is a €10 surcharge per passenger starting with the 5th passenger. Maximum capacity is 10 people and 12 suitcases. Each passenger is allowed 1 suitcase each. There is also a surcharge of €5 per extra suitcase. Night transfer surcharge is €10 (between 22:00PM-7:00AM). It may be good to know that when you purchase a return trip to and from the airport, you can save 5%.

You may book and check for more updated details and information here: https://www.motoscafivenezia.it/en/ticket/choose-destination.php

To get to the apartment, choose "Hotel or other destination in Venice (city)" and then enter "Fondamenta Santa Maria Formosa" which you can see here in Google Maps https://goo.gl/maps/2ZbVP4k5cEmJuhuHA

This is only our suggestion, so please search Google and make your own choice as to the best water taxi company to use.

Once you have booked a water taxi, please let us know so we can change our meeting point to meet you outside the Church of Santa Maria Formosa which is 80m as the crow flies from Venice5th, or a 140m walk.
